David has worked in the sports industry for nearly 30 years as a journalist and strategic sports business and public relations consultant.

As a national and international sports journalist, David worked for a wide range of organisations including The Times, The Sunday Telegraph, The Guardian, the BBC, Reuters in Italy and numerous sports websites.

After moving into PR, David has worked with clients including the Laureus World Sports Awards, IOC Executive Committee Member Sergey Bubka, the Red Bull Air Race, the Football Association, the RFU, Spartan Race, Gillette Champions and Legends International.

David now runs Calacus PR consultancy specialising in UK and international sports business communications.

He is a CIPR Fellow and also a Chartered Practitioner, the highest individual qualification in public relations.
