Scott Dougal is Director of Communications and Digital at World Sailing, the international governing body for the sport of sailing, where he is responsible for communications, brand, digital, broadcast, strategy development, esports and partnerships.

Before joining World Sailing, he was Head of Communications at British Cycling where he worked across communications, content and public affairs.

He led the organisation’s move into campaigning for better conditions on the roads for people on bikes, and delivered communications strategies at three Olympic Games, two home world championships and one Grand Depart.

Scott started in the sports industry as a journalist with the Press Association, holding several roles including Deputy Sports Editor, Olympics Editor and International Editor.
